[Ken is a sad dog who lets Dipper pull back but he's still clutching his shirt.]

He smashed up a bunch of glass and started stepping all over it. And I yelled at him to stop, and when I asked him what got into him he asked if I wanted to know. He... looked just like you.

[All the color drains from Dipper's face and his grip on Ken turns vice-like.]

Ken. That wasn't me. That... was a demon. From back home. You have to stay away from him!

[amadaman]

[Ken stares at him blankly for a second because ah, what did he say?]

... A demon?

[Didn't he just give said demon his word before coming here? He was kind of panicking.]

His name's Bill Cipher and he's like a chaos demon. He wants to destroy the world.

[Wait, Ken fights demons all the time.]

Ken. I know you have your weird head monster thing, but Bill is dangerous. Don't go near him.

[amadaman]

[But that's all Ken says. Because he's starting to frown, and the sad dog look is turning into more of that look Capsule has when he gets caught chewing on Dipper's hat.]

[Slow dawning realisation shows on Dipper's face.]

I told you he asked if I wanted to know, right? And he said if I did, I had to do something in return. So...

Please say you didn't make a deal with him.

Well, it didn't get as far as selling my soul or anything...

He wants my help if he ever needs it.

Just don't go near him. He can't make you do anything if you don't talk to him.

[Even as Dipper says it, he knows this won't work.]

Of course I was! [Now Ken pulls back a bit more, enough so hat he can give Dipper a very, very stern glare.]

Glass hurts, and foot injuries take forever to heal and I thought you were getting hurt!

I don't want someone I care about to get hurt like that ever again!

I told you I'll try to stay safe! Stepping on glass is the opposite of that!

Seriously, I'm okay. Promise.

... Okay.

[Just let him hold you again though.]

I'm so glad.

I'm a little more worried about you. Bill's dangerous and now you owe him.

[amadaman]

[Ken's gonna be glad later that Dipper smells like that soap he likes but right now he's just glad Dipper doesn't smell like blood. He can stay here all day.]

What sort of stuff is he capable of?

I've only ever met him in the dreamscape, so I'm not sure what he can do in the real world. But he messes with your head. Just... stay away from him, okay?

[amadaman]

Yeah... I'll try. But if he's gonna be in my head, Kala-Nemi might be able to fight him off.

If your Persona gets hurt, do you get hurt?

[amadaman]

Um... Shadows usually attacked us, but one time Kaneda-san shot at Nemesis and I felt it? But while Nemesis is a part of me, I'm not a part of her. Even if she gets a lot of damage, as long as my mind itself is safe, she can always recover there, I think.
